A structured agro-export business, built for partnership.
Tharseo Global Investments is a Ghanaian limited company trading and processing agro-commodities for export. This page is for grant bodies, development agencies, banks and investors evaluating Tharseo as a partner.
Company overview
Tharseo Global Investments Limited is headquartered in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana, and operates in agribusiness commodity trading and agro-processing: sourcing ginger, pineapple, sesame and shea butter from Ghanaian farm networks, and preparing them for export to international markets.
Founding story
Tharseo Global Investments began in 2024 in Kumasi, at the heart of Ghana's Ashanti Region: a city built on trade routes that have moved goods across West Africa for generations. The company started with a straightforward premise: Ghana grows some of the world's most sought-after agricultural commodities, but too much of that value is captured elsewhere, by exporters and processors far from the farms where the work happens.
Kumasi was the natural place to build from: close to the ginger and fruit-growing zones of the Ashanti region, with logistics links south to the port at Tema and north into the wider West African sourcing region. That position, between the farm and the freight forwarder, is where Tharseo does its work: sourcing directly from growers and aggregators, processing on the ground, and preparing shipments to the standard international buyers expect.
The mission is simple to state and harder to execute: build agricultural supply chains reliable enough for a purchase order, transparent enough for a development partner, and rooted enough to put real value back into the communities that grow the raw product.
Why Tharseo
Positioned on a growing trade corridor
Demand for African agro-commodities, particularly into China and the Gulf, continues to grow, and Ghana is among West Africa's most established export economies with functioning port, banking and phytosanitary infrastructure.
Value addition at origin
Processing at origin captures margin that raw-commodity trading leaves behind, and aligns directly with Ghana's export-diversification agenda and with development programs that fund origin-side value addition.
Two-sided model
Tharseo pairs a trading operation that generates near-term revenue with processing capacity that compounds value over time: a structure suited to blended finance, grants and trade credit alike.
Track record
Tharseo has supplied over 470 MT of agricultural produce to Ghanaian industrial processors, including Bodukwan Multi Fruit Processing and CBL West Africa Limited.

Grant & partnership readiness
Tharseo's operating model connects farm-level sourcing, aggregation, processing and export preparation in a single chain. This structure aligns with the objectives of development finance institutions, agricultural development programs, and bilateral cooperation agencies working on value chain development, agro-processing, and export readiness across West Africa. We prepare partnership and application documentation to the standards these processes require, and can engage at the technical and commercial level of detail serious programs demand.
